The Rivalry Returns!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea you heard correctly, The Heat and The Knicks are back at it again. Last nights victory over The Miami Heat is the first step towards the restoration of the old Knicks/Heat rivalry of the 90s. As we all know, this level of play was not made achievable until The Knicks went out and acquired Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups in an attempt to help out their superstar Amar'e Stoudemire just after the All-Star weekend. In their 3rd game together, the new-look Knicks prove to have a very promising future as they use defense and big shots down the stretch to shut out arguably one of the leagues most dangerous and potent teams. What is really surprising is that The Knicks who are not known for their defense showed up big defensively in the last quarter to stop the Heats lethal attack. Chauncey Billups recorded two solo steals and Amar'e Stoudemire played great help side D and blocked a Lebron James layup that was surely bound to result in two points. The icing on the cake however both in the trade and in this game was Mr. Big Shot. Along with those two steals, Billups also hit a running floater on a play where he was clearly fouled but no call was made and a crucial 3 with just over a minute left to play as he caught D Wade sleeping on D. All in all, I'd say it was a tough, scrappy win that reminds me of the days of old when The Heat and The Knicks would scrap it out on the court both in and out of the playoffs...... As I stated earlier, the rivalry is certainly back, and we can expect more playoff caliber games between these two teams in the future.
